Dennis Mirra, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pennsylvania State. His externship was completed at a private office in Kennett Sqaure, PA. During this time, Dr. Mirra also served as a Medic in the United States Army Reserve and retired after 21 years.
Dr. Mirra’s professional memberships include the American Optometric Association and he is a Past President of the Delaware Optometric Association.
Dr. Mirra spent many years practicing within an Ophthalmology practice in Wilmington and also had a private practice nearby. Halpern Eye Care is honored to have Dr. Mirra as part of their professional team of Optometrics. Currently, Dr. Mirra is practicing primary care optometry with an interest in hard to fit contact lenses and family eye care.
Dr. Mirra currently resides in Pennsylvania with his wife of forty years, two adult children and one granddaughter. His hobbies include boating, salt water fishing, target shooting, scuba diving and small engine repair work.
