Matthew A. Miller, OD, received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is originally from Kennett Square, PA, and completed his undergraduate work at the Pennsylvania State University in 2005 with a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology.
While at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Miller completed an externship with honors at Feinbloom Low Vision and Rehabilitation Center, which focused on the treatment and rehabilitation of the visually blind and impaired patients with such diseases as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and inherited diseases. Dr. Miller also completed his ocular disease training with honors at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD, and Optometric Care Inc. in Aliquippa, PA, where he worked in conjunction with cataract, glaucoma and retinal specialists in both primary and tertiary care settings.
Dr. Miller currently resides in Newark, DE, with his wife Dr. Tessa Payne, who is also an optometrist at Simon Eye Associates. He enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities, music, electronics and trivia. Dr. Miller is active in the Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout Award in 1999.
