I just want to say you guys are awesome each and every year when we come in for our yearly appointments you guys are so nice, patient, and make everyone at ease. On Tuesday I brought my daughter in February 5th and explained that my husband had made my daughter an orthodontist appointment and that it was at 4:40 and everyone worked to get us in an out so we could make the appointment, I didn’t feel rushed and felt that everyone was very kind and considerate. Then I brought her back on February 7th to pick new frames the technican worked with my daughter to help find frames, she is 14 and had probably 25 frames and could not make up her mind, the technican was so very patient with us. Great job guys you rock! Thanks so much. I recommend you guys to everyone!!!

I want to commend the Middletown Staff on their excellent customer service. I have been pleased with the level of service my family and I have received since my first encounter with this office over one month ago.

On June 3, 2011, my son was seen by a local urgent care facility where he was diagnosed with an eye infection. We were advised he need to be seen by a physician that day. The facility contacted the Halpern office here in Middletown and obtained an appointment for my son immediately. Upon our arrival to the Halpern Middletown office, we were greeted with smiles. I was equally impressed to see the staff members working together as a team. One staff member completed paperwork with me as another prepared my son for his eye exam. I was also impressed with Dr. Schadler. He took the time to discussed my son’s previous diagnosis and how it did not match the current findings. Likewise, he took additional time to explain the new diagnosis as well the medication he had prescribed. Needless to say, I scheduled appointment for my routine eye exam that day.

My most recent encounter was once again fantastic. I contacted the office today due to a payment error. Once again the staff was friendly. I was direct to speak with Tania regarding the matter. Tania went above and beyond the call of duty. She researched the office records, contacted the merchant credit card service center, and my personal bank to reconcile the issue. Although the process was very time consuming, Tania remained professional.

I just want to say thank you to Dr. Schadler, Tania and the entire staff for being so accommodating, efficient, and friendly. Their teamwork is exceptional and something I have not seen in quite some time. Keep up the outstanding job!!!

It started in October when I lost my glasses and the replacements didn’t work. Whatever was going on with my “double vision” was horrible. It was with Amanda and Penny’s perseverance, patience, and wonderful ability to satisfy customers that I finally got to Dr. Ryan. I believe it was Penny who quietly said “Maybe you should see Dr. Ryan if thse don’t work; he loves puzzles.” Well, I saw Dr. Ryan and he got me to Dr. Blackburn. It took five months, but all is well. I go back for a check up with Dr. Blackburn in September. The point of all this is the wonderfulness of Amanda and Penny. They are so super and work so well with the patients. And, of course, there is Dr. Ryan. The genes don’t fall far from that tree. Thanks to all of you; because, I know it starts with you.

I have always received wonderful care at the Halpern practice. Drs. Halpern were always very thorough and professional and very caring. Dr. Halpern was THE eye Dr. to go to if you wanted contact lenes way back in the dark ages (1970’s). I got my 1st lenses there in l974. I remember going to the practice on Bradford Street and having an all day class taught by Reba on how to take care of the contacts, how to put them in, take them out, and how to move them back on center if they slipped off. Naturally these were the old hard contacts which were pretty much all that was available back then. When I got a bit older and started to have eye problems with the contacts not fitting as well Dr. Joel assisted me in getting the gas permeable lenses. I also had some other eye issues going on then and he was most kind and concerned (as you hope all your doctors are!) and helped me get through whatever was going on then. I have been gone from Dover for many years now but still have family in the area. It is nice to know the Halpern family still has the business and that Dr. Joel’s son is continuing with his dad. I was diagnosed with glaucoma when I turned 50 (on my birthday not less!) a few years ago. There are times I wish I was back in Dover so I could continue as a Halpern Eye Care patient but it sure would be a long trip from Houston!
